Final Reflection of 2023
Reflection
This year in quill media my participation has been limited my biggest contribution came not from the content I produced but rather from brainstorming ideas providing support to fellow quill spray and helping provide feedback and editing suggestions, if I’m being honest its because I have slowly lost not my interest in the Quill but my pride in the work we products it is no longer media that make me feel that I can interact and impact my community as I use to.
And as I have sate in class this year we have had a lot of discussions but learned very little at some time it felt as if we were just stuck in the same loop over and over again, and as this was my last year as a quill spray I must admit to being disappointed in myself for not only what I had contributed but more over for what I hadn't. I wish the Quill nothing but the best and hope those who continue into next year also help to rebuild the voice of our school media.

2022 Journalism Recap for First Semester of Juniors Year
Reflection
(There are certain kinds of challenge that come with being a journalist that can cause more stress than joy like finding her interviewees meeting word counts and being ready for deadlines are just some of them but they are not always a bad thing because these challenge often produce a sweeter sense of accomplishment) said Illyria Brunenr junior at Animas high school last year when she was ask what it had been like in the quill for her that year, but asking her again yielded us a whole different answer ( Last year I was simply one of the journalist on the quill staff but a lot has change for me this year, I find myself writing less and proofing reading more it has become less about my deadline and more about the staff I have seemed to have found myself a leader ship position with in, which I don’t mind but I would like to get myself back in the field next semester) I asked her what do you think that would look like being back in the journalistic filled of AHS and she told me she didn’t quiet know but restarting the quill cast once they move into their new building, would probably be her first steps, I then asked her in that regard what she thought the year head would have in store for her she said (honestly I have no clue what might happen in 2023 but I will make sure to wright me a brief when I fined out and you can be the first to read it).

Final Journalism Reflection
Journalism is always a class where the moment you step through the door anything could happen, Illyria Brunner sophomore a AHS, reflects on what she has made this year as the end of second semester wraps up, from her work on Student Teacher blurbs Color Guard write ups Homegurl columns with friends and Bio exhibition info blurbs something is always in the work and wall she finds writing stories is a great way to get her creative energy to flow there are challenge that come with being a journalist that can cause more stress than joy like finding her interviewees meeting word counts and being ready for deadlines are just some of them but they are not always a bad thing because these challenge often produce a sweeter sense of accomplishment for her and as this year is almost over and challenge begin to lesson who knows what next year will bring for sure but Illyria know one thing that will be in her future is a podcast in fact she has already started planning a Quill podcast with two of her fellow journalists and can’t wait to make it a reality with them and to remember that journalism is not gossip and being able to flip a story quickly is key and if she can remember that from this year semester she can’t wait to see what next year holds and hopes to enjoy what left of this year as well.
